Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology (AT) is any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of a child with a disability. Region 11 CSPD at Metro ECSU offers an AT Lending Library and a Collegial Network for district AT Specialists.

AT Library

The Judy Wolff Special Education Library offer extensive library resources in the area of Assistive Technology. Educators can access equipment and other resources to use with students. This enables teachers and students to test equipment for its usefulness before spending district resources.

Complete AT Kits or individual AT Kit components may be checked out. To assist us in serving you, place your request for materials as far in advance as possible.
